Frequently asked questions
Find answers to the most common questions about access, filling in, payments and outcomes of the procedures.
Access and digital identity
On the portal you have access to the protection and enhancement procedures provided by the Cultural Heritage and Landscape Code and, if you are an employee of the Administration, you can access the internal competitive procedures. For each procedure you can submit an application, track its status, receive notifications on updates and, where required, make payments through PagoPA. The applications you submit are collected in your personal area, in the “My applications” section.
You can log in with your digital identity: SPID (Italy's public digital identity system), CIE (Italian electronic ID card) or CNS (national services card); if you are an EU citizen you can log in with eIDAS. If you are an employee of the Administration, you can log in with your Ministry e-mail credentials.
With SPID, CIE, CNS and eIDAS you log in directly, without a separate registration. On first access the system creates your profile with the data from your digital identity. If you are a non-EU citizen who does not have a digital identity, you can use the registration procedure provided by the portal and log in with the credentials you create.
On the “All applications” page you can filter the procedures by Title, Recipients, Categories, Status and Office/Institute. Once you select a procedure you reach its detail page, where you find all the information you need to start filling in the application.
Submitting an application
After choosing the service and logging in, the portal guides you through filling in one or more forms. As you enter data, the system shows which parts are complete and which still need to be completed. At the end, where required, you need to sign the application before submitting it.
No. Your personal data is already pre-filled with the information from your digital identity and cannot be changed, because it has already been verified. You are, however, asked to enter the applicant's tax code to confirm that you are the holder of the application
Each procedure indicates the required documents in a dedicated section. Mandatory documents are marked with an asterisk: you upload them with the “Upload file” button. If the procedure allows it, you can add further documents in the “Other attachments” section. For each uploaded file you can download or remove the document, so you can replace a wrongly uploaded one.
When you have finished filling in: save the application and mark it as “Ready to sign”; download the application PDF, sign it (digitally or by hand, depending on what the procedure provides) and upload it again; then continue with submission. At the end you receive a confirmation e-mail of submission and, later, a second e-mail with the protocol number confirming receipt of the application.
Yes. When you save an application, it goes to the “Draft” status and remains available in the “My applications” section, where you find it again to resume and complete it.
In the “My applications” section you find the list of all your applications, with the status of each. You can search and filter them by procedure type, protocol, subject or date.
Delegations and roles
Yes, if the procedure allows it. With the “Delegate the application” button you can entrust the management, filling in, signing and submission of the application to other users, assigning each a specific role. It is a useful function, for example, if you rely on a professional or a consultant.
Holder: the person the application refers to; responsible for filling it in, unless it is delegated to someone. Proxy: acts in the name and on behalf of the applicant and can submit and sign the application. Delegate: acts on behalf of the applicant with limited powers according to what is expressly assigned (filling in only, signing only or viewing only). The same person can hold more than one role, if the procedure provides for it.
Payments
If the procedure requires a payment, you can pay through PagoPA, the national platform for making electronic payments to the public administration in a simple, secure and transparent way. For each payment a payment notice is issued, containing a QR code and the IUV (Unique Payment Identifier). You can pay in two ways: online, directly from the portal, using the enabled channels (credit or debit card, Satispay, PayPal and other enabled services); or offline, at post offices, banks, enabled ATMs or authorised outlets such as tobacconists, supermarkets and receiver's shops.
It depends on the type of payment provided by the procedure. If the payment is mandatory before submission, you must make it in order to submit your application. If the payment is provided after submission, you can make it later. When there are several cumulative payments, you can make them in a single operation.
After submission: communications, additions and outcomes
If the Administration sends you a communication about an application, the message is available in the “My applications” section, in the “Communications” tab of the application. Communications are also sent by e-mail. If you are asked for an addition, open the detail of the application and select “Add to the request”: the portal reopens the form already submitted, so you can change the necessary data or add the required documents. Once the addition is complete, sign it (if the procedure provides for it) and continue with submission.
When the procedure closes, the application goes to the “Concluded” status in the “My applications” list. By opening the detail of the application you can view the receipt of submission, the submitted application and any communications from the Administration. In the event of a negative outcome, you will find the related communications in the detail of the application
Internal competitive procedures
Internal competitive procedures are on the “Procedures for employees” page of the portal. As an employee you can access the procedure by logging in with your employee credentials, choose the procedure of interest and submit the application in guided mode, attaching the documents required within the deadline indicated.
The outcomes of competitions and selections (for example admission, assessment and rankings) are published according to the rules and deadlines indicated in the notice.
Technical support
Yes. The portal is designed to adapt automatically to your device's screen, so you can use it from a computer, smartphone or tablet, choosing the medium that is most convenient for you. For optimal operation, we recommend using an up-to-date browser. Some steps that require specific tools, such as signing or logging in with CNS (national services card), may be easier from a computer.
To use the portal correctly, we recommend an up-to-date browser, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge. If you experience access or viewing problems, try refreshing the page, clearing the cache and cookies, or temporarily disabling any browser extensions.
Check that all the mandatory fields are filled in correctly. As you fill in, the portal flags incomplete forms and data to correct. Also check that the attachments comply with the formats and maximum sizes indicated in the form. After correcting the errors, try submitting the application again.
